Those poor darling buds

So those weather folks on TV said that we'd have a little snow this morning in Southeast Connecticut, but that it would quickly change to rain with the temperatures rising over 40*F. Well, it switched to rain, but the high for today was about 28*F, so everything froze on contact. When it seemed to lull a little bit before dusk, I ran out and snapped some shots of the buds on the maples (I think...not an arborist) across the street. They are wishing those 70* days from a few weeks ago were still here...
