Tipsy Eastern Yellowjacket ?

This lovely creature landed on the rim of my wife's wine glass yesterday and wouldn't leave. In. response to the shouting, I offered it my finger, and it climbed on. I have often rescued bee from the community pool by offering my hand or just scooping them up. Once on my finger, it seemed to be having some sort of tremors for about a minute, Could that have been a result of the wine vapor? Then it calmed down, and in a little while took off. This, by the way, is a left-handed phone shot from a right-handed person - perhaps a new category?

No, but it might have been the fumes. He did behave like he was under the influence.

Nice shots! Alcohol will kill them. I had one land on my lip to help clear a bit of jam and the sucker bit my lip.
