Ya the grass was at just the right (or wrong) distance to be where the blur is starting but not enough to blur out the long lines of the grass.

Nice shots. The first one seems a little dark, but it is not obvious to me, not know what your software is, how you can lighten it up without losing detail and/or blowing out some parts.

I do hope the babies were not too close to the heron. They would make a nice sized meal for any GBH.
