Photos NOT OK to edit
I've lots of photos that I haven't post-processed. And it's mounting.

Anyone in the same situation?

Be more selective of what you shoot or shot film

I don't really shoot a lot of stuff. Probably for one scene I'll bracket and shoot from different perspective so it amounts to quite a lot

Step 1. Open the folder with all the files.
Step 2. Single click on the top file.
Step 3. Hold down the shift key and single click on the last file.
Step 4. press the delete key.
Step 5. Select "OK"

Fin.

Same thing I do with all the work emails I have after returning from vacation.

every time I shoot my kids sports, especially 3 games in 2 days situations. Yikes .. you just have to start and roll through them as quickly as possible.

Yep, 2+ years worth backed up. (And no I'm not marinating them as one knucklehead blogger talks about.) I stopped shooting junk. If it is not high grade portfolio material I am not interested in wasting time. This was the point I was trying to get across to Traveler with some of the junk he sends in. Spend you time wisely or you will drown in garbage with digital.

ehh. I have about 700 to go through... Most I wont post process in fact I will look through and select what I want to keep and delete the rest.

Not to sound like an ass, but isn't shooting more than you can handle to process wasting time?

thinking most of you have some type of auto backup like me. so really, even if you want to delete them (better do it quick) because the auto backup picks them up otherwise and then you have to go through the bastards twice.

Link worked for me. Here is a screen capture of what Derrel was alluding to.

Not everything is a portfolio shot. Lots of shots are just for fun. Shoot now, post process when you retire. Or, just post process when you need the photo for something. I probably have tens of thousands that have not been post processed, and they may never be! But if I want a photo for something, and I can find it, I can post process it in a few minutes and that's good enough. The key is being organized enough to know you have the photo, and to be able to find it when you want it.

*Gary raises and waves his hand.*

I have stuff that's maybe five years old I haven't process. For me it's all about time. I rather shoot than process. So it stacks up. I do pro bono work for a high school and their stuff and other timely stuff gets a higher priority. My management decisions for processing and the rest of my life is the processing of "my stuff" can wait.

I hear you. Fortunately, hard drives are getting cheaper.
