Too busy? Or interesting?

C&C please..I particularly like the colors and skin tones and the way they all co mingle and contrast one another.

Yeah it was at a BBQ and there were people around, and I was shooting candid shots without them knowing. I absolutely love the expressions on the the two girls faces, and the opposite tones and hair colors of them. They both look deep in thought which keeps me interested in the photo (besides the boobs. =-)...

If your only question is if this one's too busy, then yes. The chequered shirt of the person passing through your photo does make this too busy. "Ruins it" is what Derrel says, and I'm afraid he's right. This could have been a decent candid shot without him. But with him ... erm... expression or not, it doesn't "speak" to the viewer who wasn't there and doesn't know what was going on.

I like the two women and disagree that there's no storytelling -- this photo is a little bit "street" because both women look disgusted, maybe about something out of frame to the right? Anyways there's a little mystery, a little ... well, not quite a narrative, but something the viewer can hang a narrative on. I don't see how to save it from the dude, though, which is too bad. Maybe going black and white, which would emphasize the little "street" thing you've got going on.

How about in black and white with the shirt dude cropped a bit? The dude isn't as distracting but it looses the contrasting colors and skin tones that make it interesting for me.

This is a case where some care with the B&W conversion would really help. Since the colors in the shirt are so distinct, you should be able to get better tonal separation between the shirt and the girl's face by filtering some. There are probably some sliders or settings you can use in whatever you're converting with that would help out? This definitely feels like a step in the right direction.

Still not sure you can "save" it, and still not sure it's a good idea to even try. But your time is your own, and I dare say you'll learn some stuff!
