Took your Advice

Are the vertical lines on the right side of her face supposed to be there? Well, I know one is, but the other kinda curvy one seems out of place... unless that's just her face, in which case I apologize.

Maybe a % or two too much red in the picture but very nice. She looks beautiful.

not sure if it's a shadow or a just the lighting because it's not on her face (just had to go and check), but it's on the RAW file as well. Thanks, I think I'm a lucky guy :)

Not sure if its at all what you are looking for in c&c but the most distracting thing to me is the ridge just above her eyebrows; a little d&b to soften that perhaps?
I find the amount of reflections in the eye a bit much too but that's hard to do anything about depending on your natural light.

Any and All C&C are welcome. How can I learn without honest criticism? I am not so sure about where to draw the line with regard to PP. Do I make her 'perfect' or do I leave her with her natuaral character to some extent? I do soften and shape a bit, I just try to preserve her natural beauty as much as possible, to not plasticize, ya know? She is 48 after all ;)

I like the second one a bit more, in the first one i feel like her skin tones and background blend in too much making it hard to focus on the subject.

I also notice that in the first one here eyes are a bit out of focus or is that just me? Something else worth mentioning is the second i think shows her true skin tones more than the first one, oh and i wish there was maybe another cm of space above her hairline, you seemed to be cutting in pretty close.

yeah, I didn't want to cut off her feet any, tried to squeeze it all in a 8x10 crop.

I like the second one more, very lovely =)

The only thing I would say, is maybe put your signature on the right side for this one, cause it cuts into her toes, lol.

Also: Wow, she looks very young for 48.

She really does ;)

Thanks again to all that responded!

I'm into natural/real portraiture but everyone's got their own ideal.
