Topdon TC001 Thermal Camera for Android Phones

I recently purchased a Topdon TC001 thermal camera for use with my Android phone. It has a USB C plug, and comes with a USB C extender cable and USB C to USB A adapter. My phone has a USB micro jack. I tried two brands of USB C to USB micro adapters. and neither one worked. It looks like the pinout on the camera is non-standard, but is something that a USB C equipped smartphone can understand. You probably cannot use this on a USB micro equipped Android phone without the Topdon-supplied cable.
