Some background. These are 40 yrs old. Put up in and around the "gay ghetto" and beyond in Toronto in the mid-80s when AIDS was scything through the city. Meant for blessings and protection. Surprised to spy these on a second floor facade and scrambled up an open fire escape to catch them. More surprised to see they were plainly protected.
