Just got back in last night from a nice trip to Costa from some surfing. Some more birds I found on my trip besides the Raptors i already posted last week. Parrots and Macaws were in our neighborhood and the Toucans were in the mountain straight across from the Jungle Surf Cafe (for those who know of that place,..killer breakfast!)

Make your threads as image heavy as you want

None of us here have much to say about them besides giving you a  so who cares how many there are to enjoy.

I did turn the computer away from my wife though when I saw your title. She is into parrots big time plus we had talked about going to Costa Rica before leaving the US. If she saw your photos, she'd probably hit me over the head with the computer :lmao:

Beautiful. As always.

Gorgeous, all of them.

Very nice!

Nice collection of some wild cool looking birds. Post as many as you like! Surfs Up, Dude!

I really like the Caracara shots. My favorite bird in the series. But I did see a few of thosein the Mayan Riviera part of Mexico. The black bird in #20,#21 I think is a type of finch. It looks alot like the Vampire Finch of the Galapagos Islands.

My friend listed the birds as follows:
4-6 Fiery-billed Aracari
7-9 Crimson-fronted Parakeet
10-12 Chestnut-mandibled Toucan
13 American Pygmy Kingfisher-almost world's smallest Kingfisher
14 Least Grebe-world's smallest Grebe
15 Bare-throated Tiger-heron
16 Slaty-tailed Trogan
18 Great-tailed Grackle-way louder than our Boat-tailed Grackle
19 Pale-vented Pigeon
20-21 Groove-billed Ani-cousin to Cuckoos
22 Great Kiskadee-it is a Flycatcher and pompano's description of its call is right-loud and incessant
23 Blue-gray Tanager
