I just got another Technics SL-D2 for $50 as a back up. Needs work but if my other one goes I'll have one to spin that lovely vinyl.

Yup. British-made. Classic minimalist design still in production. Heavy 1/2"glass platter. Belt drive. RB300 cast aluminum arm. Very few moving parts!

Have the little Rega Brio Mk6 integrated amp. 50w. Great phono stage. Source selection, headphone jack, on/off switch, volume control--that's it. Class AB. English-made.

Been shopping for new speakers for about 2 years. New stuff every week it seems. Can't commit!
Got some Mogami 3104 for new speaker cables last year when it was a bit cheaper. Still sittin' there. DIY hi-end wire. Still like old reliable Belden 5T00UP. Cheaper than camera gear!

Never had a pair of lease-breakers, those big-a$$ Cerwin-Vegas, JBLs, Sansuis, Klipsch, Realistics.
Degenerate friends are scouring 2nd hand boards for these and Shamu-size receivers. Kinda partial to 10w triode monoblocks and holographic stand mounts. Whoops! Think we're on the wrong forum! Will post some Nikon FE pix to even things up.

We should probably institute a "Toys" sticky for non-photographic stuff. Anything to boost site traffic, right?
Kitchen gear...Bit of a knife geek. Having dumped too much on Japanese blades--some longer on cachet than stupendous cutting superiority--I'm looking at some cheapies, like the Thai-made Kiwi brand. Bare bones, low glam, pure function in handy shapes and sizes. Only Japanese knives I buy now are MAC--good shapes, stamped not forged, low maintenance, fairly priced.
Kick in! This might be fun...
