It's very nice with good composition but perhaps concentrating even more on the wheels would improve the overall effect. As it is there's a strong vertical at the front and a less prominant one at the rear of the image which draw the attention away from the wheels a little. Still very interesting, though.

Your original shot appealed to me, there's so many stories attached to train wheels, where they've been, who they carried from one place to another. The stories each passenger held...oopps sorry got lost there for a moment.

With the vertical at the back darkened out, the eye can move through the picture more comfortably, imo. That's not to say that the original isn't good - it is. Once again, a very nice photo.
