Nice photos. Just be careful as those are posted Government Property. Most locations like that need permission to shoot photos at unless they are holding a public event like one I was at in Winona, MN earlier this month in which they actually encouraged it.

I don't believe that is true. There was an incident last year in Baltimore, MD. The security guards detained a man for taking pictures at a light rail station saying it was illegal due to the patriot act - which was incorrect.

As long as you aren't interfering with anything I doubt anybody is going to mind. If you can see the train or train station from public property then you can take pictures of it. You can take pictures of pretty much anything you want if it's in publics view. Using it commercially may be a different story. Also, taking pictures of people on rail tracks isn't the smartest - some girls recently died doing that.

Didn't check where OP is from but for the US - trespassing on the railways property may be illegal but that's it. People can ask you not to take pictures and if you don't want a hassle you should stop.

The tracks in my area (and we have way too many) are not posted with anything. My town is an old rail city and people Who come here always take pictures of our ugly old tracks and stations.

I really like the drama in the sky.... it matches well with the ground scenes....

Regards :D

Thanks all.

Appears the hood rat artists that painted the train cars are about as worried as the rest of it that simply shoot pics? I have my girlfriend climb all over train cars as a backdrop when the opportunity presents itself, never been a prob.

She climbs as i set the lighting =)
