well hey, anyone else ever have something that they really needed but it can't seem to get to you.

I bought a Minolta Flash Meter IV F from eBay
from a seller in California
bought and paid for
They finally shipped it out

To New Hyde Park, New York ... it's currently in Keasbey, New Jersey
All fine and dandy,
except I live in SE Michigan

yup, not only the wrong state, but they shipped it to the wrong person.

was hoping to have it last weekend, but NOT yet.

Anyone else have anything go aStray, from eBay ??

I bought a pair of pants one time on ebay.

I live in Central Mississippi.

The pants were coming from the MS coast.

They went to Caifornia.

Then back to Ms.

I was astonished

I apparently shipped three things out last week, and i mixed up two of the labels...

I only tried them on once. Sorry :)

Lol. I'm going to go home and tell my wife "Denzel Washington has worn these pants before" :hail:

When I bought the Sigma 70-200 mm off of Ebay the guy shipped it to the correct address. The post office, however, seemed to have the devil of a time figuring out where Nebraska is actually located. They shipped it to their processing facility in Des Moines first. From Des Moines it went to another processing center in Salt Lake City Utah, who sent it to a third processing center in Denver Colorado, who then promptly shipped it right back to Des Moines, Iowa.

It spent a couple of days in each location even though it was shipped priority, took about a week and a half extra to arrive and they actually drove it past my house twice in two different directions before finally getting it to me massively late. I couldn't fault the seller for it, he even offered to refund the shipping charges but I declined because I knew he'd never get that money back out of the Post Office and it really wasn't his fault at all, he put the correct address on it and shipped it out on time.

I've not had the best luck dealing with the Post Office I'm afraid, their customer service is pretty much non-existent. But I did eventually get the lens and the seller was stunned that I left him glowing feedback for it and refused a partial refund after all the problems I ran into - but like I told him, I can't hold him accountable for someone elses foul up. Just wouldn't be right.

Sounds like a godawful plot for a movie my teenage daughter once forced me to sit through.. lol

hmm. i had a laptop disappear for three months once. filed one of those investigation complaints. took three months but they found it. Then they called and asked if they should continue it on its way or send it back to me...

Only other problem was with ordering doors and windows. They kept showing up with broken glass, broken trim. But thanks to Anderson windows company, they just kept sending more, and more, and more, and finally i managed to get ones not broken and Anderson actually wrote off the entire thing so it was free. Cant just blame delivery people on that though. some of them the boxes were fine, it looked like whoever was shipping from the Anderson warehouse was randomly packing and shipping damaged product.

I boycott ebay and paypal at all costs. I actually ended up having to sue ebay over a problem I had.
I sold an antique silver set to someone. Took good pictures, very accurately described, etc. Also listed I did not take returns. Buyer ended up wanting to return it, I said no returns. Long story short, ebay forced the return and took the money out of my account regardless. This silver set was huge and it took 3-4 boxes for me to ship out. Seller shipped back ONE almost empty box (returned maybe 3 pieces out of an 18-20 piece set), and that was it, after ebay forced a full refund. I called ebay, they took back the buyers return, but told me they didn't have the ability to return MY money, and said literally word for word "just consider this the expense of doing business online".
I tried contcting buyer as well, but that was no go, so I ended up reporting them to IC-3.
