I think I like it, but it's hard to tell what the two guys are doing. Are they students, or maintenance? Some background info on this pic would be great!

a little background info then!

they are both students that i took a picture of about 10 minutes after class had started. the one kid is twisting his lock to his locker, and presumably both of them have nothing better to do when ditching besides sit around school and burn time.

A couple questions (I guess you could say specific background info, lol)

1: How'd you get the pic and/or why do the kids seem to not care that you're taking it while they are apparently ditching class?

2: Is this a semi-outdoor section of the school? It always freaks me out when I see things like this because it gets to -40 where I live during the winter and that would completely suck here, lol.

1.i actually had a manual 28mm lens on my camera at the time and shot this holding my camera at waist height, and thumbed the focus hoping it was right.

2. this is orange county california, the last time it was below freezing here was the ice age haha... shorts and T shirts in the winter, a far cry from minnesota

Like it a lot, though I would prefer maybe if the boys were silhouetted more? Maybe bump the contrast a bit? Just a suggestion, otherwise it's a well conceived shot.
