- Photos NOT OK to edit
After a layoff from all things photography I'm getting back into it and wanted to try my hand at child photography. Fortunately I've got a perfect test subject.
These first two are obviously shot with a DSLR. I was shooting in a very dark room backlit with direct sun through the drapes. I had to shoot wide open at ISO 1600 to get the shutter speed I needed. As you might imagine noise was an issue. These photos were literally my first effort with Adobe Lightroom and I only used global adjustments. I'm on the steep portion of the learning curve with LR and have also started working with PS CS5 but haven't got much further than Camera Raw thus far.

These next few are film. Kodak Tri-X 400 shot through Pentax K1000 and home developed in Rodinal 1+50. Film scanned into LR using Epson V700 and VueScan software. I was looking for a more vintage, documentary style with the grain that make Tri-X and Rodinal famous. Used LR for minor global adjustments but no sharpening or adjustments to grain.
