Some from the North of the UK.

Z and a mix of 28 - 45 and 80 - 160

1. The photographer's cloud showed it's head at perfect timing! At Ambleside.

2. The rest from around Bridge of Orchy as I arrived in the evening... a 4.5 hour drive away...

3. Some great light on Beinn Dorain opposite my hotel...

4. Instead of checking in, I headed for a lookout over Loch Tulla

The first is nice, the rest seem to be leaning a bit. Like the Bugs Bunny cartoon where the picture of a ship on an ocean is tilted on the wall, Bugs straightens it and the water starts to flow out of the frame onto the floor. :)

Perhaps you might refrain from saying something until you actually have something sensible to say. Grow up.

I used a tripod for most of these and the tripod was level.

ok, jokes aside, since humor isn't your forte, they are tilted.
I was just using humor to lighten the message.

I assure you they are not. Both my camera and the tripod indicated level. Lakes aren't always perpendicular to where you stand.

Nice shots!

Thats fortuitous with the cloud appearing for your shot

I particularly like the 2nd shot. It's a very familiar sight to me having been up and down that road a lot over the years.

3rd has some nice light on Bienn Dorain, I have fond memories of picnics and hiking up those hills.

4 is nice but I like the sky in 5 better, and they do look slightly tilted. 4 looks right to me for that loch but 5 looks right with the hills.

Thanks Pete. Do you mean 4 and 5? Since 3 is the edge of Beinn Dorain and (have to look at a map for this one as the spelling is very Gaelic) Beinn an Dothaidh which is a few miles away from Loch Tulla.

I think I may have trusted Lightroom auto correction on one of them, and t tends to be hit and miss...

Sorry, I got my numbering mixed up! I fixed my post so it makes sense. But yeah I meant the last two.

It's lovely landscape in that part of the world. I can easily loose a few days up there.

I do like number 3. But the view of Loch Tulla from the viewpoint I find fairly boring, it's always into the light in the afternoon and quite distant in photos. (@Advanced Photo, it's not really tilted as the loch runs diagonally across the frame and is not a good reference by which to judge).

Next time you're up there, instead of heading up the A82 take the little single track road that runs down the side of the hotel (Bridge of Orchy), about a mile down and the views really open up:

Been a while.

Am staying at the Bridge of Orchy Hotel and have been down that road to Inveroran before but not at dawn. Forecast is for rain tomorrow but will certainly have a go. Am staying in the outside rooms so can leave the hotel whenever I like rather than being locked in between 2330 and 0700. No internet in the rooms though so J sit in the bar and drink beer.

Nice, lovely shots although landscapes aren't generally my favorite.
The last two looked a bit dull on the screen so I looked at them in PS where they are quite a bit more lovely.
They are in the ProPhoto color space and need to be converted to sRGB to look their best on a browser.

I really like the 2nd one. Great light, interesting sky and the road really draws you into the frame.

Thanks. Just moved to a new MacBook so will make sure I have the correct colour space.

Nice shots.

It may be that the tripod and camera were level, but, as they say, water finds its own level and #5 looks like the lake must drain at that angle.
