My critique:

I posted too many photos

#6 - Branches behind the head on.

#8 - Light should have been more diffused on bride.

#14 - Bright spot on middle dude's head.

#16 - Could be flickr or his complexion/hair but it looks a little over-sharpened.

These are awesome wedding shots IMO. I feel uneasy about the blurred out wedding party shots...but all good

11 is awesome! lol

Overall, great set. The shiny skin in the bride portrait and b&g shot is distracting. I'm not 100% sure, but some burning on healing might help.

Nice work! That bride is really shiney! Holy cow!

Over all, the processing is consistent, which I love. It could be my monitor, but everyone looks a little orange-ish to me, with the exception to the last two shots...which are more blue. Again, could be me.

Interesting shots for a wedding! Nice!

It's more common than you might think. IMO, the in focus bride shouldn't be competing with an in focus wedding party if the wedding party is not the subject per se.

Thanks for the comments ya'll. I agree with Oh Hey Tyler, it keeps your eye on the main lady yet the other chics aren't too oof that you can't recognize them... I think she'll dig it.

Overall these are very good, at least as far as my novice eyes can tell.

#1: The way the image draws attention to the crows feet around the eyes, the pock marked face, pursed lips, and peeling back skin, is terribly unflattering. If I were this woman, I'd be very unhappy with this photo. Also in #1, the double chin on the second woman is sharp where it should, I think, be blurred (is that from PP?). I think I'd just leave this photo out.

8 & 10: Harsh lighting. The bride seems to have excessive facial shine. I wonder if some blotting or facial powder would have helped? Or better camera angle, perhaps?

#8: There are very dark//deep/sharp shadows around the bride's mouth - in the large image it looks severe. PP effects? Maybe fill flash could have helped?

#17: I love this photo. Simple, candid, happy, well-executed.

You've worked the Dutch angles very nicely, which is seldom done. The effects are very good.

Gracias D-Dog!

Yeah, that is one shinny face, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. Overall a nice set. The candid shots are great. For your first i bet you were scared and excited. Like was said above, it was better than my first.

Pretty good man... I would toss #1. I say almost all of the candid shots you took are very tight. You should take some wider ones.
#5, it is probably the dress laying on a sofa or something but when I see it the first time, it looks like a boob shot.

Let me echo the other sentiments here and say "great set"! Aside from a super-shiny faced bride, there's nothing that stands out as technically wrong.

A word of caution, IMO number 11 is a dangerous shot. If I were a member of the bride's family, I'd be pissed about that one. The groom looks downright sophomoric. Speaking as a son-in-law, if I'd had a picture like that with my wife, I'd have been on the receiving end of some very stern words from her father.

Just a thought.

3Bay - Muchas Gracias

jadams - Muito Obrigado, and yes it was a lil nerv racking.

Shwetty - I've been patiently waiting your reply. I keep hearing I should toss #1 and it's boggling me a little, I like the strong diagonal and happy faces but I guess I understand the double chin thing. Wider candids, agreed. Are you saying #5 looks like the bride is in the dress and I'm like shooting a side-boob shot? I guess I could see that. Anyway, thanks for the critique man, means a lot.

James - With a more conventional, stiff or rigid family I would most certainly agree, with this family... not so much. I have a feeling it won't be a problem :D

I was in Vegas this whole past week hahah. Yeah, the background looks like skin color so it looks like boob shot to me.. thats all. No 1 is just look weird. Maybe if you shoot it wider and show everyone is drinking would be better. Just her by her self, her face expression is just not good enough.
