Thanks much, Jeff. There's no colour version of this one – I've only processed it in B&W. I might give colour a shot, though.

Don't go out of your way to get a color version, I can just imagine the rusty red, or very faded blue (I can't decide which it is) of that truck against the bright white snow and the faded wood color of the shed. I just think it would be cool.

Because of the shadow on the front of the car, I dont think it will look good in color. I bet this look great if it is matted white and with a black frame.

If I wanted to quibble, which of course I always do, the stuff behind the car is a little distracting for me - not in a big way, my eye didn't go there immediately, but enough that I'd probably crop some on the right. The other thing is that the gradient in the sky is a little abrupt. There, I feel better now. Thanks.

I agree with this issue 100% and struggled with it quite a bit. Cropping resulted in an image that was not only too tight on the right side but also not well balanced. I'm not good enough with PS to clone the tank out, so I ended up darkening it a bit. The final photo is not perfect, but I can live with it.

The other thing is that the gradient in the sky is a little abrupt.

I understand that some people might not like it, but it's the only way to have a black sky and still keep the outline of the trees undisturbed.

Looks great,

I really like the way the light and dark areas are balanced across the image. Although I would consider making the sky a bit brighter. I don't find the the background to be too distracting but you could consider adding a slight blur to the background to stop it from competing with the subject.

Thank you, Jason. A blur would be the perfect solution to the problem... but my PS skills are limited, to the point that I don't know how to blur anything
