On a selfish note, I was hoping to open this and find they are offering an FX version!

It won't kill you to shoot in DX Mode, will it?

Not at all, but I didn't buy a FX cam to shoot DX lenses (with FX's lenses available for it)

I sold my 11-16 Tokina back when I had my D7000, even though to this day i can't say anything but good about that lens. I've been hanging out shooting in some local photog's studios every since studio lighting class and I haven't had enough interest in shooting building and landscapes to justify keeping it around to collect fungi as a result of no use.

Plus since Tokina's price increase I had the opportunity to sell it for the exact same as I paid, which is the type lens rental I truly enjoy =)
