I think he's referring to the mirror in the DSLR camera itself. You wouldn't see them in the veiwfinder because that is when the mirror is in use, but they should be in the photo because the mirror drops out of the way to give the sensor line-of-sight through the lens.

This is very nice!!! How did you do that?

I isolated the woman to keep her relatively focused and then used a radial blur on the rest of the image. Corel PSPx2 has a tool called infrared that also puts a nice haze on everything.
