Beautiful photography and clicks.

JacaRanda, nice shots. I like the Ibis' snack the best. Your #4 looks like a Black-throated Grey Warbler as best I can figure. HTH.

WesternGuy

I agree with WesternGuy; almost certainly a Black-throated Gray. We don't have them here, but that little yellow spot on the lores seems to be the decisive identifier.

Beautiful shots, as always!! CA is another place I would love to go shoot someday, but I'll need a much bigger budget to get there than I needed to get to Florida!

Thank you all for the comments and helping with the I.D. Love me some teamwork :)

Sharon I think it would be great if you could get out here, and greater if we could meet.

Pre 911, I was all over the States and Puerto Rico. I only knew p&s back then. Bummer

Nice set. I believe #3 is a Dunlin, the bill is a too long for a LS and the legs on the LS would be yellowish.

I concur on #4 being a Black-throated Grey Warbler.

Very nice set, Jake. Love #5.

Thanks Hunter. You would not believe how much back and forth, back and forth I was trying to get it right. In fact, All About Birds mention the legs of the LS being yellowy to greeny which was my deciding factor. You could very well be correct, but next time I am asking you first :) :)

Check it out: I can easily go with Dunlin too.

Great set. I'm no help on So Cal birds. Wait, where was that birds-west-of-the-rockies book? Somewhere here in my mess, just give me a minute (or more likely a year) ...

And here I was going to say #4 should be "Peek-a-Boo".

Nice set! I particularly like the black phoebe.
