Cool shot. We certainly never get ice that thick around here.
When I was younger, I used to do a lot of ice fishing. In the morning, as the sun was coming up, it was always very quiet. As the temps warmed the ice it would begin moaning and groaning. Sometimes you would hear a loud crack and you could follow the sound across the lake. Very erie until you get used to it.
