Thank you! It really is. I'm just trying to make due with what I have until I can afford nice glass!

You don't need expensive glass for good macro results. You do need good light though.

You might consider one of these: Amazon.com: Raynox DCR-250 2.5x Super Macro Lens: Camera & Photo

They actually do an excellent job, and will work on your existing lens. You might also consider an older lens that has an aperture ring, and get a reverse adapter for it. You can grab older 50mm cheap.. and they do a great job.
