I have seen plenty, but never tried it myself.
Now that we have a bit of gear.....it was about time to try it.

Bowl under the tap for a nice steady drip.
Colourfull place mat underneath, red place mat behind.

Great first attempt! If I ever try this I hope they turn out as well as these.

My eye was immediately drawn to this crop form the third image.

A high resolution version of that would look great on any wal, IMHO.

these are absolutely awesome! I cant take water drop photos for the life of me (Weather i have wrong gear, wrong set up, or I just suck i dunno) So anyone who can - WOW!

I made a very complimentary comment after these were posted - unfortunately I attached an image to illustrate something and my post never made it past moderation.
