Had a day off and wanted to get some photo's, even if it was pouring down, so I decided to head to the city to get lunch and hopefully fire off a couple of shots.

Playing around with trying to hold the camera still with slower shutter speeds.

One of the main shopping streets is called 'Cuba Street', here is the C in the sign for it.

Wellington is known as the coffee capital of NZ.

Anyway, I may have got a bit wet, but I feel better for getting out and taking some pics.

I do like the red C (same as in "Corinna", you know ), all wet and dripping from the weather you're having, and "the more standard street view" with the wet road and the lights reflecting in it! Even stronger reflections since everyone's standing on their brakes, so they all have their brake lights on, too (would they go about with headlights on even in day times in NZ? Here they do, well, I certainly do, rain or shine).
