Westcliffe Falls

I FINALLY got out to these two beauties, but late in the day. It's quite a scramble (and a little bit of fence bending) to get up the ravines to these guys, and there is no real trail, so it's hard going. And holy crap the mosquitoes are bad this spring! But wow, it was worth it. I'm most pleased with the second (20s exposure with remote shutter), wondering if there is something I could do to improve either in edit or re-shoot.

I feel like the first picture is lacking color. It seems to be de-saturated around the rocks and trees. The second one is beautiful maybe on that one go a tad lower with the tripod.

The second one, the tripod is 6" off the ground. LOL. I'm sitting on the edge of another waterfall to get this one. Next time I think I will clamber down and shoot from below.

This is not a great photo compositionally, but if you look at the left of the photo, there is a smaller waterfall with a large rock outcropping left of it? That's where I was perched. You can actually see a teensy bit of the waterfall lower left of photo #2, actually. It's a wonderful spot!
