In a few months, my wife and I are taking a trip to Munich. The highlight of the trip is going to be a daytrip to Neuschwanstein castle. I really want to capture a great picture of the castle and make a print for our home. What would be the best camera settings to capture it? There is a small bridge I think about 1/4 mile from the castle, where shots like these are taken:

I usually like to shoot in "A" priority mode, would that mode w/ a high f stop be a good setting?

When you walk from the bus you go over the bridge, but the castle is not that impresive close up i was dissapointed crazy busy with tourists, make sure you go to The Eagles Nest ( Given to Hitler by the Nazi party) the veiws are fantastic

Did you take the tour of the inside? I think were going to skip that part.

Unfortuneatly we only have 3 days in Munich, and won't have time to see the Eagles Nest. Were doing 1 day of exploring Munich, day trip to the castle, and then another half day trip to Dachau and a beer tour that night

No we didn't because it was a bit of a let down after the walk there, if you don't take the tour you only get to go in a small courtyard and thats it not very good for photos because of the amont of visitors mostly Japanese, you could spend the whole 3 days in Munich and it still would not be enough, we went by motorbike so got to tour all the mountains
