I like the idea but the subject is too dark and lacks definition. The background is also very weak and the little bit of earth in the lower right corner pulls my eyes away.

You have a nice row of them there but I don't think you have really utilised that in this shot. And as Trevor mentioned, subject needs to be brighter; maybe go for two exposures and layer one exposed for the sky in the background.

I know the 95% viewfinder can be really annoying but that's no excuse for not checking your corners/edges on the lcd after your shot. It is small enough to clone stamp out in this shot though... shouldn't take more than a few seconds.
