What if only one photograph could be seen at a time?

Hello everyone,

I’ve been thinking about how photography is consumed online today: endless feeds, “likes,” followers, algorithms…

So I set up a little experiment called ThePHOTO.

The concept is intentionally simple: only one photograph is visible to everyone at any given time.

A photographer shares a photo they love, and that photo becomes the only one visible on the site until another photographer shares a new one. (Photos are moderated before publication. A photo stays on the site for at least 5 minutes.)

I’d be really curious to know what photographers think of this idea and whether the fact that only one photo is visible at a time changes how you choose what to share.
