What kind of bird is this?

It looks like a Black Phoebe ( Sayornis nigricans ). No, I did not know that off the top of my head, I just happen to have an Audubon field guide near me. Although it looks like one of those, they say that they are native to Southern CA.

Looks like a slate colored junco to me. A bird commonly seen in the winter in the eastern half of the US.
