What's new

wheelchair portraits

The skin looks a bit too smooth for my liking, to the point where if someone who isn't a photographer viewed these I think they would be able to tell they were retouched with a heavy hand. I would definitely try to bring some of that detail back.

Yea. I had mentioned maybe going a little too much on the smoothing, but the more I look at them, the more I think your right...Easy enough to fix thankfully. I'm going to have another go at these when I get off shift tomorrow. Thankfully I shot all these wide so I have more cropping options.

so....totally new set of edits.
i went just a hair darker on these, but im not sure if I like it better or not. Gawd i hate editing....
anyway...I dialed the smoothing waaaaay waaaaaay back, so hopefully it is an improvement on that end.
changed up the cropping a bit as well.
exposure wise, i kinda like these as is, but i have been debating bumping it up juuuust a hair more.

you can see the wheelchair's wheel in #3, but in the version where i cropped it out totally, it also cropped out part of her hand.
it has been a constant battle with posing -vs- cropping to get the wheelchair out as much as possible.

here's my wheel chair portrait. $IMG_9106.webp she didnt wanna smile.
