When Life Gives you Apples.... Take Pictures and Post Them on TPF (C&C Please)

These apples were at an orchard in Indianapolis. They were hit hard around here this year with the lack of rain... most of the apples were still good but these were some of the ones that didnt make it... it also doesnt help that they have already had their first frost for the year

Just a couple of thoughts.......

Since photos 1 & 2 are nearly identical, choose your better image for C&C.

It looks like the sky was kinda blah that day. Choose a PoV that would exclude it.

The twig behind the apple gives the impression it is being skewered. Nothing wrong with a little housekeeping. I keep a pocketknife in my bag for such circumstances and have been known to bring along a pair of short utility shears also. I do try to leave no footprint where I go and wouldn't think of causing harm, but a little nip and tuck can help the outcome of an image.

I would have taken care of that stuff in a normal circumstance.... but those photos were taken while i was balancing on one foot 10 feet up in the tree.... is there anyway i could take the stick out in post processing or anything like that?
