Wow! What a simply LOVELY scene and a nice job of shooting it! THE WAY the tip of the fishing rod meshes with the electric wire is really interesting. And the light! OMG, the subtle lighting there is simply to die for! This is an outstanding photograph, and anybody would be proud to say he or she had made it. Best photo I have seen in days and days!

it is very intersting, but im still curious to see it without the power wires.

and I agree, the lighting is awesome. The "halo" effect created around him due to the white concrete in the bg is great.

And all the lines in the scene draw your eye right back to the subject. Really cool shot.

The power lines have to stay to keep the context intact. They also serve the purpose of having relatively dead space following the same curvature of the bridge.

I look at it and I think "it's been pretty heavily processed in some areas" but it's been done very tastefully and I LOVE IT It's one of those shots that I could easily see being used in marketing for some fishing company or something.

It's been processed in all areas but not so much heavily as to specific detail/nuances. This was a difficult lighting situation where the sun was not in the picture but was streaming through all the uprights and bouncing reflective light everywhere. I did not use any reflectors or fill lighting of any kind as I was shooting this guys without his knowledge. This required some work opening up the shadows on him but still leaving him in a slight silhouetted state. I appreciate all the comments. I just got back the first print on aluminum plate and have to say it is stunning. I also made a smaller plate and gave it to this fisherman a few hours ago. I think I made his day.

Really awesome shot. I also think it's awesome you gave a print to the fisherman I am sure he will be more than happy to display this shot!!!
