Where's Waldo?
Just an aside to let you know the difficulty in catching these Herons and Least Bitterns out in the open - most of the time, though admittedly, this trip there were a few seemingly oblivious to our presence; not the norm I assure you..
In the first image you see what we see trolling about at a little faster than idle speed. The clump of grass shown in #1 is about 2 1/2 feet tall from water's edge to the top and maybe 18" in diameter and in image #2, the clump is closer to four feet water to top and more than 3 1/2 feet in circumference.
Distance from the boat to the clumps is about 18-20 feet.
So, Where's Waldo in the second image?
