Soft focus is nice, and I like how just the one tiny flower is in focus. It is a little busy, but that is not really what bothers me.

Honestly, it feels a little mannered and safe. I have read your blog, and I really like your insights into photography. I just think you are capable of more than this.

I can't tell if you missed focus on the one almost sharp flower, or if the blown highlights make it look that way. Doesn't do a thing for me... except makes me wish it was sharper.

Definitely not your best work. I think the background flowers collide with the foreground plus the foreground is just too small for the overall image.
Just my take....

It definitely is mannered and safe, and now I find myself a little disappointed in it, now that's been said

I dodged up the primary flower a bit, but I think it needs to be separated from the background more to succeed as the image I had in mind. I probably need to dial back the enlarger diffusion a bit, too.

My blog is not under discussion here, and I decline to talk about it.

To Charlie, one doesn't need be an artist to criticize it. Without doubt some of the world's leading art critics don't actually create.

That is one of the problems with critics and many bloggers... how can you be so knowledgeable about something you can't do?
