Trying to revisit a few of these now that I know a lot more about editing (mostly like not ruining the picture). Different shots from the series before, plus a new species.

And I've now decided to include a random fact, that way you can say you've learned something :) The mountain lion is generally considered the best jumper of all big cats, with a vertical leap of 20 feet, and can leap horizontally to about 45 feet. In perspective, if you were looking out a second story window, it could jump right in without problem.

Wow I did learn something. Question for you. How come in some parts of the country that have no mountains these cats are know as mountain lions and other parts with mountains are they are called cougars?

I couldn't tell you why. I used to live in Northern California in rolling hills (no mountains) and they were still called mountain lions. All I know is that mountain lions, cougars, pumas, panthers are all the same cat. Maybe its regional. Some even call them painters, catamounts, or mountain cats.

Enjoyed the added fact

My take on #2, I tried to make the kitty a little more prominent and added some contrast, dropped highlights on the rocks and brought up the shadows a little, hope you like it.

Great shots, I love these athletic animals. And I did learn something new today. I thought panther is another name for leopards. It turns out leopards, pumas & jaguars are all called panthers.

Great editing Bill, made a significant difference in the visual appeal of the image IMO.
