Why a rainbow on the dining room ceiling?

This is the longest day of daylight here in the northern hemisphere & the sun is shining through our North facing kitchen window this evening & the little bobble on the curtain.

We face north on a hill and this time of year when the setting suns rays reach the birch trees along the shore we call them our Golden Trees. We look forward to it every year regardless of how brief a time it may be.
