Wide angle lens...

I have the 16-36mm 2.8 and I'm looking to go wider. I've heard the sig 10-20mm 3.5 is nice but I'm worried about losing an F-stop. I've also heard some nice/not so nice things about the Tokina 11-16 2.8. It has the extra stop that the Sig doesn't have but I've read some sketchy reviews.

I'm looking for sharpness. I don't care about the auto-focusing.

Any input would be greatly appreciate.

The Sigma 8-16 is as wide as you can get! Stopped down (where you should be shooting an UWA), it is super sharp. I really enjoy my 12-24 (on a full-frame), and I figure that if you're going to go wide, you might as well go the widest.

That is wide! I'm worried about the 4.5 though. I'll look at some samples. it should be noted that this will be used primarily for weddings and on full frame bodies.

You're not losing a full stop only about a half and I don't think you'd notice. Not sure you'd want that shallower Dof on wedding shots. The Siggy 10-20 is a good sharp lens that performs best between f10 & f16.

If you're shooting full-frame, get the 12-24. If you don't mind manual focus, the godly Nikon 14-24 is also an option, but it is very expensive.
