Beautiful summer like weather were having here in downeast Maine this week.
My wife and I and our dog took a nice scenic drive to secluded Schoodic Point, at Acadia National Park,.. to have a picnic on our anniversary, enjoy the day, the scenery and each other.
The ocean was calm and the mid day light was not ideal for seascapes,....but the intermittent cloud cover was ideal for close up lighting.
The vegitation surrounding the park is alive with color,...flourishing everywhere were blue purple wild irises nestled within the rock formations. I couldn't resist as you can see. It was quite breezy so I was generous with the exposures,...heres one of the resulting images.
Taken with a Nikon D300, on tripod, 200mm lens manual mode, 1/250 @ f8, ISO 200
