Thanks! The red beacon light made the image over-the-top red, so I dropped the 'red' slider and then desaturatedd the whole thing just a tad. With these shots, it can go a lot of different ways in post!

Thanks! The trick (to me) is to find a convergence of both dark sky and interesting foreground. This worked out well for me!

Thanks Keitih! I was a bit perplexed by the goldish/brown horizon line, but as I began comparing this to other's images, I guess it just "a thing".

Anyhow, a fun shot. Do ya think I made a mistake desaturating?

Color temp seemed WAY too warm to me, due to the red of the beacon taking over.

Here was the shot as originally processed (distortion from ultra-wide lens not even corrected in this one.

Man, to be honest I kinda like that crisp red light in the foreground. My taste are a little weird when it comes to night shots so ymmv lol.

Here's what happens when I dropped saturation on the yellows. Helped the horizon quite a bit...

Yeah that's a big help to the horizon. Glad you were able to get out and take some shots, we've had just terrible weather for milky way viewing. One clear night, the night before this most recent full moon.

Any tips of shooting windmills? I'll be driving cross country towards the end of summer and hope to get a few in Oklahoma.

That's pretty cool! I like the more red version. But then I usually am photographing what's there and what I see so I like it as is without too much editing.

Wow great capture,IMO pulling back the reds and what ever other editing you have done was a great choice.Very well Done.
