Winter Scenes in Northern Virginia [9 pics]

We got our first dose of winter, and with much of the month preceding the storm in the 70's, the waking up to 8 inches of snow was a cold slap in the face. Made the most of the power being out on the first day, then cable/net being out the next. Was great to gear up and get out. Here are a few from the Z7II and the Mavic 2 Pro.

1. Outgoing storm over Burke Lake

2. Waiting for Spring. I just liked how the wind off the lake blew all the snow in one direction onto the facing trees.

3. Black & Gold. Sunset on the western shore of the lake with the eastern side casting shadows on the other side.

Holy S*it, lol, what an absolute mess. I've had it take 9 hours to go from DC to VA Beach, doesn't seems that bad now.

The nieces are in Springfield, Woodbridge, and Bristow. I'm glad I didn't have to go see them.

Absolutely beautiful set. 1,8, and 9 are my favorites. I would love to metal detect on that property ( the family farm ). Really scenic area.
