Won't turn on

Finepix s5000 been left without battery for a few months now it won't turn on although it was fine before storing away, any ideas plz?

Maybe the contacts need a clean, other than that I have know idea.

Try a hard eraser if there's no actual corrosion. For better cleaning try emory paper/cloth or even a very fine nail file

Cleaned contacts, put fully charged batteries in but still won't turn on, any ideas......bemused!!!

Maybe it won't turn on without the memory card. I had a problem with my Canon when the SD card door wasn't closed properly.

It's unlikely that storing it for a few months caused the problem. It may not have turned on the next time you tried, whether it was the next hour or week.
