Thin white line around log, duck and reflection? Was this cut and pasted onto the background? Reflection doesn't look real either... too washed out. Or am I seeing things?

No, it's all real, nothing was cut and pasted.

I noted the white line, too, but it's not a halo because it's not around the whole image. Some kind of PP artifact.

Oversharpening, maybe?

At any rate, I love wood ducks. I agree with Charlie, that something looks odd about this. For me, I think it may just be a number of factors--the texture of the tree limb, the saturation level, the reflection--that make it seem more like a drawing or painting than a photograph. Not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, just different.
But I love wood ducks, so...yeah. :thumbup:

The white line doesn't occur all the time but it always happens in conjunction with downsizing to 800 pixels for posting to the web.
