An older shot of some local wood storks. they have an ugly face but they make up for it (well, almost) with their beautiful feathers.

I entered a picture (some of you may remember it) awhile back in the BBC Wildlife magazine and although I didn't win, I did get a runner up position which was I was pretty happy about. It's in Julys edition under "Beach Bully." Just thought I would share the joy.

Never seen those or heard of them before, Thanks

Hey congrats. The entries to the BBC comps are usually enormous so a double well done. Like the storks. A bit grislier than their European relatives.

Yup, thems some fugly looking storks!

Congrats on making it into the BBC Wildlife mag!

thank you, John! I didn't know anything about the BBC magazine other than the fact it's been around forever. I did assume there would be a lot of entries and I still don't know how many there were but probably much more than dpreviews which is usually around 50 entries max.

Ha, ha, fugly indeed! Thank you very much!

Wonderful set, and congratulations on the runner up!
