Working with models...

See being totally forgetfull as i am,but that will work, ive got one with pages from magazines, scanned photos from books and pages off the net in two that i have.
aslong as you know what lighting will suit what pose, your on to a winner

i used to look at magazines take pix of the pix on my iphone for references when I got there. Don't touch models

Unless you're working with an experienced model, a lot of people that call themselves models and want to contact you via Model Mayhem or other such sites, will probably not be very easy to work with and probably won't be good at taking direction.

Instead of spending all the extra time trying to get them to look how I want by just vocally instructing them, I will move them if they don't get it. I've never had a male escort of a female model I've been working with step in and say something. If it's a boyfriend that's getting jealous at the way I work, they can leave and go find some other photographer to fumble around with.

So I vote for touch the model, just don't try and cop a feel.

I would have to agree with VI I mean like he said if they get jealous as per say or not comfortable, they can leave while I do my thing, as long as the model doesn't say anything you're good. Also, when in doubt ask, like mentioned before if they don't take instruction after 3 different ways of me saying it just go up or say here i'll show you. After that they should be able to get it.
