I've entered an image into last months competition - and i noticed I had a few votes. That's exciting!

doesn't look like I'll win - but i'm just excited that someone else liked my picture.

guess i dont fully understand the photo competitions on here, i thought your pics had to be nominated by others, not yourself?? maybe I read it wrong.

There are Photo Challenges as well, where a theme is announced (eg December's theme was 'Architecture'), and people submit their pictures, which are then voted on. And of course there's the weekly Fight Club too. All three contests are listed under the heading 'TPF Photo Contests' on the forum page
