Wonderful shots! I especially like #2. I remember as a kid chasing those little critters around the woods of Western Pennsylvania, trying to catch them. Never did catch one.

Thanks all. My wife always saves blueberries, strawberries and apple peelings/cores for them. They like unsalted sunflower seeds a lot too.

Why not feed them? Fruit scraps and nuts are harmless, and they provide photo ops! This little guy is a charmer.

In Texas we took to feeding a pregnant opossum - half an apple every night. It was pretty cheap entertainment to watch this mama critter slowly make her way onto the deck and work that strange, long mouth delicately so she could grasp the goodie. We watched her carrying the babies later.

There wasn't much in the way of wildlife where we lived, so we took the opportunities as we found them. I love having interaction with my backyard critters.
