Yosemite National Park

So Ive been gone for awhile and haven't been able to do much. I recently well about a week before the shutdown I made it out to Yosemite and was able to get a couple of shots. I just finished touching this up in LR3. This is one of my first attempts doing a black and white of a landscape can you guys tell me what I need to improve on.


This was shot with a Canon 5D on full Manual using a 24-70 L Lens ISO was 200 24mm f/8.0 and a 1/160 sec shutter speed. I also have the original in color if you guys would want to see it as well.

The pic is way too small in my opinion. Even when I click it and it takes me to your smugmug, why is that? Did you resize it super small for some reason? It makes it very hard to give an opinion on.

Sorry bout that shipman. I think I made a mistake when I exported it from Lightroom.

think I fixed it.

You need a lot more contrast in the photo:



I also gave it a slight warm tint -- a hint of color helps.

Its much easier to see now, the contrast done by Ysarex is a nice edit in my opinion. The scene is nice but it needed a little more definition in certain areas and the contrast helps very much.
