Five feet,I think the heron was in a Zone. Really Nice crisp and clear.

These are shot in a State Park where the wildlife knows they are virtually untouchable. A few of the older Gret Blues and Great Egrets will let you get "reasonably" close, but they do have their limits and five feet is right at that threshold. Gators, on the other hand would just as soon eat the stupid hand that likes to feed them as look at you. I keep them at a healthy distance as I do Bucks when they are in full Rut.
