Nice shot! It's amazing how many will show up when the call is sent out. A squirrel got too close to the nest, and the next thing you know, there were six or seven of them dive bombing the squirrel, even though only two were taking care of the nest.

There it is! Love it. Each one is so sharp!

Agreed - we noticed the same behavior when we had them nesting year after year. They hung together in a large main flock, and never failed to show up to help drive away a perceived enemy to one of their own.

One summer we had back to back nesting in the same nest outside our front door. We noticed that there was an increase in the number of the others just hanging around, sitting in groups at the house next door, or on our garage, seemingly just keeping the last little family company. Waiting for them to join the big flock so they could all leave the area together - which they always did.

To this day, I think they're the most fun birds to watch. ❤️

Just the one keeping his cool while all around are loosing theirs. Nice capture.
